Safe Walking Route

Willow Canyon Safe Walking Route

  1. The safest, most direct route to Willow Canyon is divided into sections divided by east, south, and north locations from the school. Designated streets lead to either an adult crossing guard or entry directly onto school grounds.
  2. All students entering from the east are to use the south sidewalk leading to the south side of the school. Walking along the south entrance to the school will proceed to students entering grade level doors. Students entering school grounds on a bike or scooter should proceed to walking the bike/scooter once on school grounds.
  3.  Children riding bikes should ride on the right-hand side of the road and never in the middle of the road. Students should always walk their bikes while crossing streets, making sure to use crosswalks or intersections with crossing guards.
  4. Adult crossing guards are placed at:
  • 10300 S. 1520 E. Sego Lily and Countrywood Dr.
  • 10105 S. 1635 E. Buttercup Dr and Countrywood Dr.
  • 9800 S. 1700 E.
  •  9800 S. 1520 E.
  • Sego Lily Dr. and Sandbridge Dr.
  • 9600 S. 1700 E. entering school on the south side cross walk
