PTA News

1. White ribbon week – no volunteer so no activities for that
2. Public hearing at Park Lane next Thursday
3. Book Blitz finals are next week and the week after

 

 Principal News

1. Received our FTE- qualified for 11 ½ but they bumped us up to 12.
2. Accepting for all permits except for kindergarten
3. 5 new teachers coming to Willow Canyon for next year (all coming from other schools in the district)
4. Attendance competition in the 4th quarter
5. $48,000 for Landtrust – we will be close, but will still have too much.
   1. Amendment: take some of the math aide salaries out of this (the 7 in attendance approved this).
6. New aide hired for Kindergarten and 1st grade

 

Monthly Safety Drill Report

1. Last month was Hazardous materials
2. This month is carbon monoxide

 

Review of council’s stewardship items – Land Trust/TSSA/Cell Tower budgets

1. TSSA budgets
   1. Spent 28.4% of the budget
   2. Testing snacks
   3. PBIS items
   4. Storage options for the new math curriculum
   5. Playground equipment
   6. Supplies in teacher workroom
   7. Opportunities for teachers to have a sub to wrap up the year 

 

 Land Trust

1. 47% spent
2. Interventionists will work through the end of May

 

Cell Tower

1. We are looking good with this.
