    1. Literacy month is going well-we are getting close to the crazy hat/hair day
    2. African American Heritage month sheet has been sent home for students to complete 
    3. Judging bookmarks before the closing ceremonies

    5. Spirit day on Feb 25th at Shake Shack (all day)
    6. School Board meeting coming up on Feb 17 – Several parents are going to be speaking at this. Encouraging others to show up.
  4. Principal News
    1. March 19 – community night at Park Lane, encouraged to attend. Wear Willow Canyon shirts
      1. Remain positive, present data, stay logical
    2. BLT meeting yesterday
      1. Approved to cover subs for a 7th person at the BLT meeting yesterday
    3. New math program coming next year
      1. Paying teachers a stipend this summer to come in and plan/prepare the new math curriculum
  5. Monthly Safety Drill Report
    1. This month is hazardous materials – no evacuation
  1. Review of council’s stewardship items, input from members

      5. Halley is asking for another $1,000 for teacher appreciation – the SCC approved this
    2. TSSA
      1. We have $60,642 left
      2. This covers math and behavior goal items
    3. Land Trust Funds
      1. $32,371
      2. Hiring a new aide to help with kindergarten and first grade
  2. 2026-2027 TSSP – Goals or ideas, input from members
    1. Teachers would like to keep the goal the same
    2. Our school is strong in math, but with the new curriculum we decided to leave it the same this next year
    3. The school wants to keep the behavior goal the same – and be more proactive with this goal.

      3. Keeping families informed on the attendance on a regular basis
  3. Teacher of the year
    1. This will be coming up
    2. Bart, Shawn, an ESP member, and a principal will meet to discuss
    3. Should be a separate assembly

    1. Thanks for putting the barrels in the pull through area
    2. Thursday is an early out day
